The usage of computer-aided design systems for modeling complex systems and technological processes for the restoration and reinforcement of parts

Nowadays, all technological database management systems, excluding programming for CNC machines, essentially focus on automating the preparation of technological documentation. Among the most effective technologies capable of meeting these requirements are CAD systems for production preparation and engineering analysis. In recent years, CAD/CAM/CAE/PDM systems have progressed from relatively simple drafting applications to integrated software suites that provide unified support for the entire development cycle. The automated design of technological processes (TP) is the ultimate goal in the field of CAD technologies. However, the main obstacle to its implementation is the lack of a formalized representation of the three-dimensional arrangement of a part’s surfaces. Therefore, these systems are not widely used in machine-building enterprises and are not used at all in auto repair and auto service enterprises in Ukraine.
The academic process is designed to train specialists capable of independently developing a database for a fully functional software system aimed at strengthening and restoring automotive components. Therefore, the MySQL relational database management system is used, which provides storage, processing, and management of relational data using SQL (Structured Query Language), supporting basic transactions and indexing. SQL is designed for fast web application performance and ease of deployment. The relational DBMS MS Access was also used to organize the educational process; it features automatic SQL code generation when a user creates a query, integration with other MS Office programs, etc. Therefore, the MS Access system was chosen for the initial creation of the database for the strengthening and restoration of automotive parts.
All students complete an independent project to create information and software products designed to solve simple technological tasks. A compulsory requirement for these projects is a thorough algorithmic analysis, the creation of information-logical and data-logical database models, the inclusion of reference materials, and detailed documentation.
