Abstract

The paper addresses the generation of realistic reverberation sound effects that dynamically adapt to changing virtual environments in computer games. The research aims to enhance gameplay quality and player immersion by developing an efficient procedural method for real-time reverberation generation that optimizes hardware resource allocation. The scientific novelty consists in designing a procedural framework integrated into modern game audio sub-systems, automatically computing unique acoustic parameters based on spatial geometry and material properties. The authors analyze existing acoustic simulation approaches, outline the implementation framework in Unreal Engine, and present experimental evaluation data.
