Abstract

The article considers the issue of determining the suitability of working standards for the requirements of the technical specification based on the results of their calibration. The decision–making rule for confirming compliance or non–compliance with the technical requirements of working standards for use in metrological activities in calibration laboratories accredited for compliance with the requirements of the DSTU EN ISO/IEC 17025:2019 standard is considered. The rule for determining the suitability of working standards in the field of measuring geometric parameters of products, regulated by international standards of the ISO 14253 series, is analyzed. Using the example of calibrating finite plane–parallel length measures, the option of determining the compliance of measures with the requirements of the DSTU ISO 3650:2009 standard is considered. It is proposed to establish a target measurement uncertainty for the calibration of working standards, which should be no more than 1/5 of the maximum permissible error. The practical value of the results obtained lies in the possibility of increasing the reliability of transferring the size of units of physical quantities from working standards to working measuring instruments, which directly contributes to ensuring the unity of measurements in the metrological activities of accredited laboratories and guarantees international recognition of measurement results.
