STUDY OF THE CHISTOVA 800 UNIT AS A TARGET FOR AUTOMATION

The aim of the work is to study the process of rolling flange profiles on the 800 mill. The rolling process on the mill is designed in such a way that the ingot rolled on the blooming mill enters the mill in transit without intermediate heating, is cut into separate parts, which are then successively rolled on the mill. This technology creates a temperature difference between the parts of the ingot, because the temperature of the subsequent parts decreases while the first part is being rolled, which significantly affects the dimensions of the rolled product. The effect of rolling temperature fluctuations and changes in the interroll gap on the dimensions of individual elements of the channel 24 and the rolling length has been studied. It has been shown that by changing the interroll gap in the finishing stand of the mill, it is possible to compensate for the effect of the rolling temperature on the dimensions and increase the accuracy of rolling channels on the 800 mill. Stabilization of the rolled product thickness also leads to stabilization of the rolled product length, which leads to a decrease in the number of rods of
unmeasured length.
