An innovative method of angular hot pressing of bimetallic profiles, described in the patent “Method of Angular Pressing of Bimetallic Profiles,” is considered and summarized. The method involves preliminary deformation of the base metal through friction in the conical section of the upper tool (cone angle 20–40°), which enables the disruption of the oxide layer and improves bonding with the cladding metal. The process includes material joining within the drawing zone by means of hot upsetting, as well as the application of a movable die bottom to reduce the required pressing force. The proposed solution is primarily intended for aluminum alloys in combination with copper or stainless steel. The principles and advantages of the process are described in the context of modern bimetal manufacturing technologies.
