The journal «Contemporary Problems of Metallurgy» is aimed at a wide readership united by a shared interest in the development of modern science, technology and innovative technologies. Its audience includes scientists, engineers, lecturers, postgraduate students, doctoral candidates, as well as practising specialists working in the fields of information technology, electronics, mechanical engineering and mechanical engineering.
The journal covers both fundamental scientific research and applied developments that facilitate the implementation of the latest technologies in manufacturing and engineering practice. Particular attention is paid to interdisciplinary approaches that combine IT solutions with electronics and mechanical systems, including intelligent systems, automation, robotics, digital manufacturing and data analysis.
The journal is also useful for young researchers and students, as it provides an opportunity to familiarise oneself with current trends in the development of the industry, modern research methods and practical case studies. Articles are published with due regard to both their theoretical significance and practical value, making them accessible and useful to a wide range of readers.
The journal «Contemporary Problems of Metallurgy» serves as a platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and research findings, contributing to the development of the scientific community and the integration of science, education and industry in the fields of information technology, electronics and engineering.
«Contemporary Problems of Metallurgy» is a scientific journal with open «diamond» access (free of charge for authors and users) for all articles and issues. The publisher does not charge authors any fees at the stages of submission, peer review, or publication of articles in the print and online versions of the journal. All articles in the journal are available free of charge to readers.
The publisher also allows authors to deposit the final versions of their articles in repositories, where they will be available in open access.
In their work, the editorial board and editorial staff of the journal adhere to the following deadlines:
- manuscripts are accepted from authors for publication throughout the year;
- manuscripts are reviewed as they are received by the editorial office within 30 to 60 days;
- Authors must revise manuscripts and rectify formatting errors (in accordance with the comments of the Reviewers and Editors) within 15 days;
- Re-review of manuscripts following revision takes up to 15 days;
– the review of articles recommended for publication at a meeting of the journal’s editorial board takes place once a year during the period:
15–31 May;
- publication of the journal and the release of full-text articles in open, free access on the scientific publication’s website takes place four times a year, by
31 May.
