Abstract

The article is devoted to a computer-aided prediction of additives mixing in the molten steel during ladle`s filling and gas blowing. Motion of the melt is modeled using Navier-Stokes equations and motion of the granule – using Euler-Lagrange equations, which are solved numerically in the developed C++ program. Numerical experiments show places of granule`s injection which are significantly better than others.
